Jesus is the true and better:

· Jesus is the true and better Adam who passed the test in the garden and whose obedience is imputed to us.
· Jesus is the true and better Abel who though innocently slain has blood that cries out not for our condemnation but for our acquittal.
· Jesus is the true and better Abraham who answered the call of God to leave all the comfortable and familiar and go into the void not knowing whither he went.
· Jesus is the true and better Isaac who was not just offered up by his father on the mount but was truly sacrificed for us all while God said to Abraham now I know you love me because you did not withhold your son, your only son, whom you love from me. Now we at the foot of the cross can say to God now we know that you love us because you did not withhold your son, your only son whom you love from me.
· Jesus is the true and better Jacob who wrestled and took the blow of justice we deserve so we like Jacob only receive the wounds of grace that wake us up and discipline us.
· Jesus is the true and better Joseph who is at the right hand of the king and forgives those who betrayed and sold him and uses his power to save them.
· Jesus is the true and better Moses who stands in the gap between the people and the lord and who mediates the new covenant.
· Jesus is the true and better Rock of Moses who struck with the rod of Gods justice now gives us water in the desert.
· Jesus is the true and better Job, He’s the truly innocent sufferer, who then intercedes for and saves his stupid friends.
· Jesus is the true and better David whose victory becomes his people’s victory though they never lifted a stone to accomplish it themselves.
· Jesus is the true and better Esther who didn’t just risk losing an earthly palace but lost the ultimate heavenly one and didn’t just risk his life but gave his life. Who didn’t just say if I perish ill perish but said when I perish ill perish for them, to save my people.
· Jesus is the true and better Jonah who was cast out into the storm so we could be brought in.
· Jesus is the real Passover Lamb.
· Jesus is the true Temple.
· Jesus is the true Prophet.
· Jesus is the true Priest.
· Jesus is the true King.
· Jesus is the true Sacrifice.
· Jesus is the true Lamb.
· Jesus is the true Life.
· Jesus is the true Bread.
So what is the point, the point is to show that the bible is not about you. It is all about Jesus.

Well, i dont know what to say except that we are official now, we have ourselves a podcast. HaHa. Changes

HousechurcH,

Hey, i wanted to let you all know about some changes with our weekly schedule. I guess it is only one change, but we will be moving Mark Driscoll night to Monday nights instead of Tuesday nights. So please feel free to come to my house and watch the message with us. We will start around 830 and we need to be finished no later than 1030. I hope alot of you can make it out.

Secondly, this is for the guys of HousechurcH. Not this Saturday but next Saturday the 15th, we will start listening to John Pipers series over Romans as our Saturday night study. We will meet at Lifechurch around 8 or you can meet at my house around 830. Please try and come to this, it’s going to be awesome.

I love you all and i hope you have a safe weekend, Kelly and I will be traveling to Tulsa for her sisters wedding so keep us in your prayers. We will be leaving Friday after work and returning Saturday night. See you all at HousechurcH. Remember, we will be starting at 630 on Sunday. Read Genesis 12.

The Exodus…

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to remind you that the Exodus study starts this Sunday, September 9. Make sure you read Genesis 12 before Sunday. This is going to be an exciting time for us, continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will teach us more and more about Jesus through this study. I hope to see all of you downtown on Friday night to preach the Glorious Gospel. I love you all.
